Exciting Changes on the Way for 2022 Chevrolet Silverado

With its new redesign, the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is smarter and more versatile than ever. Highlights include a stylish interior upgrade, a variety of advanced technology options, and a new off-road ZR2 trim. Some engine options will also come with power upgrades and increased towing capabilities.

One of the most dramatic updates on the 2022 Silverado 1500 is the interior design. Chevrolet made sweeping changes that give the cab an upscale look and feel. The LT trim and up come standard with an impressive 13.4-inch touch-screen display that connects to the digital, customizable instrument panel. Higher trim levels have premium materials such as open-pore wood and stainless steel trim.

Another big update for the 2022 Silverado 1500 is the availability of Super Cruise. This technology lets drivers experience hands-free driving on thousands of miles of freeways across North America. It can even be used while towing, which can take away some of the stress of long-haul driving.

Chevrolet has also improved its engine lineup for the Silverado. The new standard engine is the 2.7-liter Turbo High-Output engine with a maximum tow rating of 9,500 pounds. Also seeing improvement is the available Duramax® diesel option, which gains 4,000 pounds in its maximum tow rating for a total of 13,300 pounds.

For the first time, the Silverado lineup will include a ZR2 trim. This all-terrain model boasts a specially tuned suspension, Multimatic DSSV™ dampers, skid plates, an improved approach angle, and many other off-road features.

The redesigned Silverado 1500 is expected to arrive in the spring of 2022, and we’ll have it for you right here at Chevrolet of Santa Fe.
