U.S. News & World Report released its list of “The 11 Best Diesel Pickup Trucks of 2021.” Three Chevrolet trucks earned coveted spots on the list. The 2021 Colorado, 2021 Silverado 1500, and 2021 Silverado HD were recognized for their new technologies and improved trailering capabilities.
2021 Chevrolet Colorado
The 2021 Chevy Colorado’s available Duramax 2.8-liter Turbo-Diesel four-cylinder engine delivers 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. The powerful engine lets the 2021 Colorado tow up to 7,700 pounds. U.S. News also highlighted the truck’s Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System that comes with a 7-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility.
2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
The 2021 Silverado 1500 has an available Duramax 3.0-liter Turbo-Diesel engine that generates 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. With an increased maximum towing capacity of 9,500 pounds, the capable Silverado 1500 also features new available trailering technologies, such as Jack-Knife Alert and Trailer Length Indicator. The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 also offers the new Multi-Flex Tailgate that helps with loading and unloading cargo.
2021 Chevrolet Silverado HD
The 2021 Silverado HD is equipped with a Duramax 6.6-liter Turbo-Diesel V8 engine that cranks out 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque and offers a best-in-class maximum tow rating of 36,000 pounds. The heavy-duty truck also adds new trailering technologies to increase awareness on the road.
