The Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD has received a host of exciting updates for the 2021 model year. One of the most exciting changes is that the Silverado 3500 HD has increased its towing capacity to 36,000 pounds.
The truck can now tow 500 more pounds than the previous model, so you can transport larger equipment and trailers. Chevrolet accomplished this improvement by upgrading the wheels and suspension. In order to take advantage of the 36,000-pound capacity, you need to select the Work Truck trim with two-wheel drive, a Regular Cab, a dual-rear-wheel setup, the Max Tow Package, and the Duramax® 6.6-liter Turbo-Diesel V8.
The 2021 Silverado 3500 HD also now comes with new trailering innovations. These technologies include the Trailer Length Indicator and Jack-Knife Alert, which keep you more aware of your surroundings. The truck also has improved its Cargo Bed View by adding Bed Hitch Guidance and its Rear Side View by making it available in Reverse. Plus, the Rear Trailer View now has a Trailer-Angle Indicator and guidelines when backing up a trailer.
