The 2020 Cadillac CT5 is a stunning combination of style, performance, and luxury that has captured the hearts of many Cadillac loyalists during its very first year on the market. According to a recent study by respected industry analysts J.D. Power, the 2020 CT5 can also add reliability to its laundry list of qualifications.
Per the 2020 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study, the 2020 Cadillac CT5 outranked a number of high-end luxury vehicles to earn the top spot for midsize premium sedans. Brand new vehicles often experience quality issues during their first year of availability that older vehicles with more established histories do not, which makes the Cadillac CT5’s place on the list quite remarkable.
The J.D. Power study analyzes customer-reported problems that occur during the first three months of ownership. Vehicles that experience high numbers of customer issues or defects earn a higher PP100 score, which translates into a lower spot on the list. Cadillac’s lower-than-average PP100 score earned the manufacturer the 3rd overall best quality ranking among luxury automakers.
In addition to the CT5’s segment-topping achievement, Cadillac had a number of other vehicles rank favorably. The 2020 Cadillac XT4, Escalade, and CT6 all earned the top spots in their respective segments.
