The 2020 Chevrolet Blazer received the Best New Midsize SUV award for a two-row crossover. The Good Housekeeping Institute and Car and Driver magazine put together a list of the Best New Family Car Awards, and the Blazer came out on top.
The rigorous test took vehicles on a 5,000-mile journey along test tracks, city roads, and highways. The testers were evaluating the competitor’s handling, safety features, technology, design, and value.
The 2020 Blazer gained praise for its 64.2 cubic feet of cargo space and standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. It has the ability to get 26 mpg on the highway* while being able to pull 4,500 pounds when properly equipped. The comfort of the cabin, ease of installing child seats, and ease of folding down seats gave it an edge over the competition.
All of this with “A stylish exterior and an appealing aesthetic [in] this practical, fun-to-drive crossover,” says Chief Technologist and Head Engineer, Rachel Rothman, of Good Housekeeping. “You’ll enjoy a confident, responsive drive that stands out on city streets and highways alike.”
The Blazer offers three engines with a maximum of 308 horsepower. And the Traction Select System allows you to choose from five performance modes, including Sport and Off-Road.
