Chevrolet Launches the Corvette Academy to Educate and Entertain Fans

During this unprecedented time in our lives, museums and other institutions have all closed their doors to the public. While we can’t physically visit them, many museums are offering online ways to enjoy their exhibits and collections. One of these places is the National Corvette Museum.

The Corvette Museum has posted a new video series called Vetteacademy. The videos are available on their Facebook page and YouTube, all for free. Many of the videos are geared towards children, but it could be a fun family activity to watch them together.

Dr. Sean Preston, President and CEO of the Corvette Museum, said, “As a nonprofit foundation, our mission is to educate the public. We developed these videos to not only provide educational content, but also be entertaining and engaging.”

So far, there are over 20 episodes with topics like the use of lightweight materials, what a car “generation” is, the math behind horsepower, car safety tips, and spotlights on important figures who contributed to the development of the Corvette.

If your Corvette knowledge goes beyond the basic Vetteacademy, you can try the more in-depth series called Fully Vetted. The series was originally going to be paid content, but the museum decided to offer it for free.
