Since its introduction in 1998, the Cadillac Escalade has been setting the standards for the luxury industry. Now, the Escalade is on the verge of its fifth generation, which will make its debut for the 2021 model year. Cadillac has already teased some of its innovative features, including an industry-first curved OLED screen.
The OLED screen will measure 38 inches diagonally and offer an impressive display of bold colors and perfect blacks that covers nearly the entire front dashboard. Cadillac says the screen will have twice the pixel density of current 4K televisions.
“From the highway to the big screen, the Escalade has been embraced by drivers and fans around the world,” said Steve Carlisle, Cadillac president. “We’re excited to introduce the 2021 Escalade…in February.”
With bold features like the OLED screen, the Escalade should easily hold onto its number-one spot in its segment. In 2019, Cadillac sold more than 30,000 Escalade models around the world. It is the best-selling full-size luxury SUV and holds about 25% of the market share in the segment, according to J.D. Power estimates.
If you can’t wait until the 2021 Escalade arrives, the current 2020 model is still impressive, with luxurious features like a 16-speaker Bose® audio system, heated and ventilated front seats, and an automated parking system.
When the 2021 Escalade arrives, you’ll be able to check it out at Cadillac of Santa Fe.
