The Cadillac V-Series lineup is impressive, no matter how you look at it. For the 2020 model year, it’s getting even better with the addition of the CT5-V. When originally announced, Cadillac provided estimated output numbers. Now, the official ratings are out, and it is more powerful than expected.
The CT5-V boasts a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine that delivers 360 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque. This is 5 horsepower and 5 lb-ft more than Cadillac originally estimated. The CT5-V also comes standard with rear-wheel drive and a 10-speed automatic transmission. You can also opt for all-wheel drive.
Along with its strong output, the CT5-V also offers affordable pricing, when compared to many of its foreign competitors. It has a starting price under $50,000, while many comparable German brands are priced well over $50,000 before you even check any option boxes.
This impressive performance doesn’t come alone. The CT5-V will come equipped with features including high-performance Brembo® brakes, a Vehicle Control Mode with a customizable V-Mode, and chassis upgrades.
Quad exhaust tips, a V-Series mesh grille, rear diffuser, and dark exterior accents help the CT5-V stand out from the crowd. Inside, you will find a driver-oriented cabin with premium appointments and features — just as you’d expect from a Cadillac.
